I really don't trust him. He is too eerily similar to Rowand. Both have had great seasons separated by 2 nothing special ones, both don't walk too much, both were aided by where they played which inflated their numbers (at least for Rowand), and I don't want this team to break up the rotation.

Also, one great start and Madison is our new ace? There were a lot of flyballs and other hit balls that could have easily lead to danger. I mean, he's been pitching good but come on, Timmeh is the franchise. Despite all of the sloppy starts, he's still pitching above average compared to the rest of the league overall with and 8-4 record. Just wait for the break. Maybe a little rest will be good for the team.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7941261488380355005.post-56324351818254470022010-07-07T13:39:05.736-07:002010-07-07T13:39:05.736-07:00We are one player away if the player is like Alber...We are one player away if the player is like Albert Pujols. I agree with Mark - it seems like we have a lot of supporting cast and not a key player, as well as Torres and Huff have been. A true key slugger could make other players around him better, but I don't see that happening, and I agree that another supporting player for Jonathan Sanchez is way to high a price to play.Zonoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7941261488380355005.post-35703908671433431822010-07-07T09:43:24.717-07:002010-07-07T09:43:24.717-07:00And do we believe that the Giants are "one pl...And do we believe that the Giants are "one player away"? When we were riding high a few weeks ago, I started to think so. After our terrible showing against the Dodgers and Rockies, I'm not so sure. We have a black hole at SS. You have to figure Torres and Huff will regress some. FSanchez already has. The Panda still looks lost. Adding a batter won't help as much as we would like, esp. if we lose a quality starter and can't replace him.M.C. Burrell? Ishikawa?) if his place were taken by Hart. I would say that to give up Sanchez, with Wellemeyer our fallback, would be much to high a price for Hart, replacing the players to whom we would not be able to give playing time.campanarinoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7941261488380355005.post-72119152328613013642010-07-07T08:12:08.108-07:002010-07-07T08:12:08.108-07:00Jonathan Sanchez = 1.6 WAR
