Now that the rest of the bhoyos have stepped it up I expect the Hurra-Cain will start blowin' 'em away.M.C. I believe that a large part of the reason that Bobby Cox is a "genius" is because Smoltz, Maddux and Glavine (and Neagle) were studs AND because of Leo Mazzone. They were ready to pitch every time they walked onto the field and seemed like they went about a decade between hangnails. Why can't the Giants prepare like that?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7941261488380355005.post-10457066922517741702008-04-08T11:06:00.000-07:002008-04-08T11:06:00.000-07:00Brother Bob said...Early-season stats can be fun. ...Brother Bob said...
Early-season stats can be fun. The other day Hennessey lowered his ERA by approx 14 by giving up ONLY one run in his appearance.
I feel compelled to continue to look for silver linings, since the awfulness is so overwhelming. Here's today's contribution:
The "heart" of the lineup, Molina and Rowand, are showing signs of adequacy. (At this point adequacy is all we get.) Velez is exciting- he got his second triple and would have 3 already but for the damn "ground rule."
I've been quietly grumbling anti-Rags thoughts for a long time now. Can you name any Giants pitcher who's even lived up to his potential in the last 10 years? And it's inexcusable how many games are lost in the first inning.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7941261488380355005.post-59883725138586364362008-04-08T06:04:00.000-07:002008-04-08T06:04:00.000-07:00Freked? When our studs (both of them) suck we take it to a whole new level of BAD.

I see they figured out to use Wilson...one save chance a week is not alot of work.
