The Washington Senators that moved to Texas were an expansion team that began in 1961 and moved to Texas in 1971. But I still am just fine with them never winning a World Series ring.Zonoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7941261488380355005.post-46704143686940398302011-10-31T10:16:59.926-07:002011-10-31T10:16:59.926-07:00If you want to claim the Washington Nats (former E...If you want to claim the Washington Nats (former Expos) as a team never to have won a World Series, then you should probably not include the Texas Bushies, because they were formerly the Washington Senators, winners of the 1924 World Series. I, on the other hand, have no problem whatsoever with teams going a century or longer, or never winning a World Series. It is just the way it is. Maybe someday some of these remaining seven teams will win the World Series, it may be well into the next century for all I care (except I kind of like the Rays for several reasons, I would like to see them win the AL crown a few times, and they can win the Series as long as it is not against the Giants).Zonoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7941261488380355005.post-35091441273351502732011-10-30T18:30:49.793-07:002011-10-30T18:30:49.793-07:00Wow! I like Lopez & Affeldt a lot, but relief pitchers are flaky, abundant, & I would have much rather seen them save some of that money to put toward some type of hitting help. This also must mean that they don't have a lot of faith in Runzler. Many more moves to come, I'm sure.Ronhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10455675383175604095noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7941261488380355005.post-88745380772615595972011-10-30T10:42:57.231-07:002011-10-30T10:42:57.231-07:00I say add the Cubs. Or so I've been told.
Wow, I thought I hated George Bush, but Ron, you really, really hate him. Good for you.
When he was president Bill and I would daily add Hitler mustaches and swastikas to every picture of him in the newspaper. Y'know, as our contribution to the betterment of society.
And MC, that was one fine post today.Brother Bobhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18162500140573910451noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7941261488380355005.post-87687336482295489462011-10-29T14:40:10.384-07:002011-10-29T14:40:10.384-07:00Here are the teams who have never won the title. ...Here are the teams who have never won the title. There are 8 teams. 7 of them have never been owned by George Bush & do not regularly host him at their games. I, too, am now a much more peaceful fan due to our 2010 win, but ...
