That was one of the most painful seasons ever, after the promise of 1978. Luckily, the rest of the rotation doesn't suck, so we are in 1st place. However, Tim back in form, as unlikely as that seems, would be a huge boost because ... our bullpen is fragile. What is up with those guys? Each of them is good for a few good performances, followed by a horror show (e.g. Affeldt on Saturday & a few Romo, Lopez, Casilla performances that come to mind). This was evident pre-July 31, & we did nothing; this is again evident pre-August 31, & we are again fixing to do nothing. I don't get it. Picking up OK bullpen arms should be a snap at this time of year. On the lefty side, we got Mijares, who is working out OK. There's got to be a RHP languishing on some marginal team who is available. We really need that help.Ronnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7941261488380355005.post-64032223115029538052012-08-27T11:51:10.085-07:002012-08-27T11:51:10.085-07:00Given that I am airborne (over Colorado on the way...Given that I am airborne (over Colorado on the way to Milwaukee, then, via automobile, to Madison) on WiFi again, I feel that I must comment.

Jon, this feels like 1979 Vida Blue / Bob Knepper more & more with every Tim start. Timmy isn't doing either of those.
M.C. O'Connorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12258035192484655635noreply@blogger.com
