Nasty ...Samardzija has always reminded me of Tomko. Nasty stuff, inconsistent outcomes. I think the Giants believe The Shark to be coachable and they can use his big heat and teach him to pitch. I think he did fine last year and I think he looks better this year. He's an interesting athlete, playing football in college and being highly-touted but letting that go to focus on baseball. That's a much longer-term plan, he could have been in the NFL well before the MLB.<br />M.C.
