The Giants clobbered the ball today, rapping out a score of hits including five doubles and two homers. One of the homers was a grand slam by Eric Haase. Usually the Giants win when they hit a grand slam so I was feeling good. It was 6-3 Giants in the top of the 6th and when they scored six to make it 12-3 I was feeling even better. Three Giants relievers conspired to give up six runs over the last three frames, including three in the 9th, and I actually, physically, couldn't watch anymore. I've said a few times that this team is "unwatchable" and this was one of those times! Caleb Killian managed to get the save, thankfully.
Two in a row against a good club. Wow!
Oh, does anyone else think we should swap Bryce Eldrige and Rafael Devers in the lineup?
Day games (11:20 PT) tomorrow and Saturday at Wrigley. Looks like Ray & Roupp.
Go Giants!

FanGraphs rates the Giants Top 50 Prospects.
They like Bryce Eldridge and think he's going to be a legit MLB power hitter.
Here's a quick summary (Brendan Gawlowski):
This system is in pretty good shape, with five Top 100 prospects, an international group that is firing on all cylinders, and a knack for finding quality small-dollar signings.
even though statistically Devers had a much better May, he has not been and is still not particularly clutch. He seems overmatched way too often. Not sure the giants need to make many moves before the deadline unless they can get significant talent. Their minor league talent looks good at this time, and hopefully will get better. Now giants have 2, 40 man roster guys at Sacramento, with broken hands. Would like to see Johan Cox play a bit more and get confortable in the majors. Glad Gilbert made that catch yesterday because I have not been feeling that great about his fielding. Of interest, most of the fielding metric services show Jung Hu Lee below average in right field. To the eye test, that seems to be a bit odd. To me he has looked consistently very good in right field. Not sure exactly how these service show him as so bad. I did understand his below average ratings in center, but he seems to be very good in right.
