The Giants, as is their wont, bounced back with a big win this afternoon, slugging five homers to push past the powerful Astros. They jumped on their longtime nemesis Zack Greinke and then added on against the Houston bullpen to secure their 65th victory. Alex Wood got the start but it was the stellar work by the emerging Big Three that nailed it down: Leone in the 7th, Rogers in the 8th, McGee in the 9th, nine up and nine down on 32 pitches. Brandon Crawford, stud that he is, broke the tie in the 6th with a two-out RBI double. Big flies were by Solano, Wade, Flores, Ruf, and Yaz.
Kris Bryant will make his debut in orange-and-black tomorrow. Logan Webb will get the start, 1:05 PT.
Go Giants!
