So the right fielder misplayed Patrick Bailey's blooper into a triple and that was the difference in the game. If he'd played it safe and let it drop in front of him for a single we might be in extra innings right now! But who's complaining? A win is a win. Landen Roupp worked hard for 5-1/3 IP and only allowed one run. Great relief, once again, sealed the deal. Ryan Walker (2/3), Randy Rodriguez (1), Tyler Rogers (1), and Camilo Doval (1) got it done. The White Sox are really bad (26-56) so maybe the Giants can conjure up a couple of whuppin's.
Robbie Ray tomorrow at 1:10 Pacific.
Go Giants!

MLBTR (Anthony Franco) has a nice write-up about the Giants approaching the trade deadline (July 31st). Here's the link:

If TL,DR is your favorite flavor, here's the last paragraph:
Organizational Overview
Buster Posey approaches his first deadline season with an interesting balance. The Devers trade was a firm commitment that they’re at least going for a Wild Card berth in a loaded division. They’re buyers but have myriad ways they could go to deepen one of the more well-rounded rosters in the game. It’s the first season of what they hope is a multi-year contention window, and Posey is quickly earning a gunslinger reputation. They’ve already made their biggest move. It’ll be interesting to see how aggressively they act to follow that up.
5 runs total for the weekend, 2 losses to the worst team in baseball, exciting, of course, the Rockies, following a sweep at the hands of another weak team. Unbelievable.
Yeah, it's really hard to take! They can't do crap!!
