Yorvit Torrealba was a Giant. Now he is a Rockie. He was a big hero yesterday with a 3-run bomb off (former Giant) Livan Hernandez. Way to go, Yorvit. As much as I hate rooting for the Crox, the Dirt-Bax are even harder to root for. Wait--that Bob Melvin fellow, he was a Giant, eh? (And a Golden Bear!) Gee, he could have been OUR manager instead of the clown we got stuck with when the Puds upgraded to Bud Black (he was a Giant, too).
Brian Sabean sneezes and the NL West passes us by.

And look -- there's Kenny Lofton hitting home runs for the Indians! Sigh. By the way - "Hurra" Cain -- good one.
Nothing? You want Brian Sabean to do Nothing? Seems to me like doing nothing says Richie Aurilia at first next year, Ray Durham at second, Pete Happy at third, and Dave Roberts in center (the four horsemen of the apocalypse of last place). I would love to see a our young pitchers intact with a much better supporting cast, but I don't think that can happen. Young pitchers are currency, and currency must be deployed to have any meaning.
Mark,
As I'd emailed Dan last week: Yorvit! Yorvit! Yorvit! Why the Giants let him go I do not know.
My only wish is that the Rockies would resign Galarraga for the World Series, and that he'd hit #300.
Go Rockies!
