Busta Wave

The league.

The story.

The stats.

We were talking about Buster Posey the other night. RotoWorld had a note about Buster and the HWL championship, thought I'd check it out.

Buster seems like he can rake, but the lack of homerun power is noticeable. Small sample size, of course. And he's young.

So, when does Buster bust his way into the bigs?

Talk amongst yourselves.

Buster is marvelous, but how about Kyle Nicholson? 6-1 with a 1.15 ERA for Salem-Keizer. 62 2/3 IP, 34 hits, 54 K's, & 3 walks!!! As it says on the Giants' website "his 0.59 WHIP looks like a typographical error."

We've got a lot of talent in the pipeline. Question is, when are they MLB-ready?

Nicholson's the guy who got the "Most Spectacular Pitcher" award. Great name, eh? He's 23, so he may only be a year away. The Giants seem to regard all levels as interchangeable these days. A to the bigs is the same as AAA to the bigs. Just ask Pablo Sandoval.

BTW, we should rendezvous in S-K next summer for a ballgame.

If you are interested, my take on the AL-MVP is here. Didn't want to waste valuable RMC space on non-Giants news.
