I'm glad that's over

The Dodgers won their 100th and 101st games over the weekend. The sweep of the Giants ends the season series, thank goodness. LA won 15 of the 19 contests. At the end of last year I thanked the Dodgers for inspiring the Giants to play their best baseball, win the West, and finish with their best record of all time. I think the Dodgers decided that finishing in second place was going too far and they had a message for the Giants this year. Clearly that message was delivered.

Jakob Junis gets the start in Colorado tonight--5:40 PT.

Go Giants!

Giants GM Scott Harris hired by the Tigers to be their PoBO.

In SF Harris lived in the large shadow cast by FZ. It's hard to know what he did--FZ says "we" most of the time! The Giants had no GM in 2019 and filled the spot with Harris in 2020.

Harris had a really good rep in MLB from his time in Chicago. The 107-win season drew a lot of eyes westward and he got a better offer. He's from Redwood City and went to UCLA.

Kap's crew was already raided after the 2021 season--hitting coach Donnie Ecker (he's from Los Altos) went to Texas and became their bench coach/offensive coordinator.
