It never fails in baseball. If you talk a guy up he goes 0-for-4 the next day with three whiffs. If you praise a pitching staff they give up four homers and nine runs the next time out! It's part of the curse of being a fan. Just when you get excited you get your legs cut off. Oh well, tomorrow is another day. At least the Giants made it exciting at the end and the Nats had to scramble to get their closer in the game. That's another thing--I talked about how anemic the lineup has been and they respond with ten hits including two doubles and two homers. Is that all it takes? A little criticism? That ought to be easy!
The getaway game/rubber match is at 10:05 in the morning (PDT). Drew Pomeranz gets the call.

That was not such a fun game to watch except for that last little burst of offense. For some reason Shark just doesn't know how to beat those guys. Today should be better. I am ready!
