Giants stomp 'em

SF 10  AZ 3

The woeful Diamondbacks succumbed again to another Giants onslaught. Man, it must be hard to root for that team! But that's not my problem, man. I'm pretty stoked about the Giants powering their way to another win, their MLB-best 44th. The bottom of the lineup did some work today: Curt Casali, Steven Duggar, and Mauricio Dubon were a combined 8-for-12 with four runs scored and seven RBI. Casali was a double short of a cycle! Kevin Gausman was brilliant again, allowing only one hit through the first six. He had a bit of that "third time through the order penalty" in the 7th and gave up a couple of runs, but then he nailed down a scoreless 8th on a mere seven pitches. Final line 8 IP, 4 H, 2 R, 1 BB, 6 SO.

Johnny Cueto gets the start tomorrow night (6:45 Pacific) against the Phillies.

Go Giants!

Glad Casali is coming around on offense. I hope it continues for a while. Cuzzi was not great but better than usual. Even though he is originally from the same home town, I find him to be on my list of poorer MLB umps. Hoping the giants can take some momentum into the Philly series, and that Cueto can figure out how to be the super effective pitcher that he has at times in his career been. I am glad that Dugger only had a short cold spell inbetween two hot streaks.
