Nope. Not tonight.

OK, here's the deal: I'm not writing about this game. I mean, what's to say? Giants get shut out? Again? (That's the third time in the last nine games.) You want me to write about that?

No. I won't. And you can't make me.

Ryan Vogelsong gives up more than four runs for the first time since May 3rd in New York. You see? Another reason not to write about this game.

I feel your pain...nothing worse than having to write about one of these nightmares. I'm glad you didn't try...life is too short. Take the night off. Hug your beautiful wife.

We'll get 'em tomorrow.

If this game were an isolated game in the middle of a bunch of wins with an occasional loss it would be one thing, but it was a shutout loss against a team who has been giving up runs to poor teams by the bushel. The giants once again keep finding ways not to score runs. Several innings they had a lead off man on, a few times the first two men got on, only to have no one ever get past second base. Then the hitting heroes of recent games, Keppinger and Pablo went south and after getting 3 hits, with a man on third Nate the great did nada. Huff was called out on strikes twice with men in scoring position after getting a hit and a walk his first two plate appearances. Rowand and Keppinger hit into double plays thwarting two possible rallies. These guys are zero for ten the the twenty third at bats with men in scoring position and the homerun has fallen by the wayside. The incredibly poor hitting is starting to get to the pitching. With Arizona playing an equally poor game with against an even worse team, the giants had all the incentive to increase their lead. Enough of this pathetic offense. Time for a winning steak to rival this losing streak. Advance the freakin runners. You know your pitchers usually hold the other team to just a few runs. Vogelsong had his strikeout pitches but certain hitters just had his number and he walked in a run with the bases loaded. That run alone would have won the game for the hapless pirates. Is Cody Ross also injured? Note the giants gave up on Jesus Guzman. He has more RBI in the last two weeks than the entire giants ballclub. What kind of talent judges are the giants. This guy is not a good fielder but either is Huff. Looks like Guzman is a better deal this year for league minimum than Huff is for eleven million. Also the lowly Pads, were able to obtain Maybin on a trade with the Marlins for relief pitching. The Pads are preparing to comeback in a year or two.

I can't blame you for not writing about that. At least the D'Backs lost as well. This seriously is starting to feel like the inverse of last year with us as the scrappy team playing better than we should. Baggs wuz right.

I found these today on YouTube - some classic moments, including Hac-Man's Grand Slam off of Dave Stewart, Jack Clark beating Bruce Sutter, & the Ron Pruitt game-winning hit, which I hadn't seen since 'back in the day' - awesome!!!!!:

They have lifted my spirits, renewing my belief that the Giants will win tonight & many, many times for the rest of the 2011 season.
