WSBD

Ol' Boch is cuttin' loose. "We'll try anything" is the new m.o. in GiantsLand! That being the case--WHAT SHOULD BOCHY DO?

Let's hear it. Bonehead is on record saying he's going to "look at all the options." What options do you think he should consider?

WSBD?

Start off with Buster, if he really isn't ready and needs more seasoning then bring in Bengie. I also think that we should have signed Felipe Lopez (I don't know what he was asking, but I'm sure that he's pretty cheap nowadays). But what's done is done, bring in Posey.

Oh, today I'll start the sketch and I just noticed that Cain and I have the same birthday, October 1st. Now Jimmy Carter and me have some company.

Yeah, re-signing Molina was my "least favorite" off-season move. I know they are talking about giving Buster ABs by putting him on the field somewhere, but he's most valuable to us as a catcher! But I won't complain too much if he gets to play sooner rather than later.

FanGraphs has a piece by RJ Anderson called "Giants' Jigsaw Pieces." Check it out.

Andrew Baggarly has a piece on the Giants in the Merc that calls us "older and slower." Check it out.

Is stepping aside & letting Ron Wotus have a crack at it still on the table?

Yes, that FanGraphs article was very interesting. I knew that their offense couldn't be projected to be worse than last year (it's hard to do worse than worst). But average? Wow, that's otherworldly, with average offense the Giants could have easily [probably] beaten the Rockies for the Wild card. Who knows, they could have made it to face the Phillies or the Dodgers, etc. But that was last year. I believe that it was Prince Po who said that "you gotta maintain, you gotta maintain." I gotta say though, I really fell in love with Pablo. I love seeing people from one of my countries being good at baseball. It's just soccer soccer soccer or futbol futbol futbol down there (South America). Venezuela is the only one that really cares and understands the beauty of baseball. There's a lot of anti-baseballness out there, it really gets me down. But this, this is makes me happy.
