Ugh

I understand that the Giants needed to go out and get some guys. But Cody Ross now makes this guy unnecessary, don't you think?

To me, getting Guillen is another symptom of "homer envy" - the gross over valuing of players with some power. Since I have been accusing YOU of this very "weakness" for the last several years, I am, therefore, going to blame YOU for the very problem YOU complain about.

Neat twist, huh? Bet you didn't expect that.

Don't be silly, I expect you to blame me for everything, and I'm shocked when you don't.

Jose Guillen got his "try-out" with the club and was found wanting. Then they found a guy with the SAME hitting skills but younger, faster, and much better glove. Seems like a no-brainer to me. I say "Sayonara" to Jose and "Bienvenidos" to Cody. And if they can find a better guy, then get him.

I have no problem with the Giants looking for some pop. Power-hitting is good. Huff, Posey, and Torres all slug at around .500 or above in addition to their other skills. Burrell slugs AND is patient and gets on base. That's a good thing. We need more of that.

I just wish I could understand why Guillen gets to play again, but now, we have to see him at the cleanup spot. I don't like him. Sometimes you find someone else's garbage...and you keep it. It smells, it's old, it doesn't do much, but, it's still here. Why can't Cody Ross start in RF? He's faster, better fielder, better hitter, better person (probably), what's the deal. At least Bengie didn't play RF.
