Vlog #10 : Cueto in Command

4-2 win

He did it again. Right when we needed it.  Begs the question, who's the best free agent acquisition?
Watch below to find out. (Spoiler: It is NOT Greinke.)

He has a knack for making the big pitch when it's needed. The strikeouts to end the 7th--Drury and Goldschmidt--were awesome!

I really liked how pissed JohnnyC was at the end of the 1st when he gave up the two-out hit and RBI. It was great to see his competitive fire. He's very confident and feels like he should pitch his way out of anything. He got the DP but could not close it out and he got worked up on his way back to the dugout.

Speaking of worked up, did you see how angry Casilla was when Boch yanked him in the 9th? You don't see guys get pissed at Boch very often, but the boss had to make the move. And I like it when guys don't want to get pulled. Casilla has had some ups and downs lately. I could see where he would be cranky.

Excellent V-log. Especially the piling on (not) about the Casilla controversy (not). Yeah, Casilla was pissed. He thought Bochy didn't trust him. And maybe in that moment, he didn't. But there was a game on the line and a team to think of. Casilla will get over it, he will be in tight spots again, probably blow another one some day, and still be our closer. What this says, if anything, is how few of these player controversies we have had under Bochy. He wasn't sweating it, and you can bet he won't be benching Casilla to show who's boss or anything stupid like that.

I'm amazed by ballplayers (like Posey) who DON'T show much in the way of emotion. How do they stay so cool? Yikes! I'd go nuts. So I never mind seeing a guy get fired up. Players at this level are so competitive and have to have tremendous self-confidence so I'm surprised we don't see more guys "lose it." Casilla has always been very stoic and superbly professional. It was a big moment and it got the better of him. I don't see a problem--as you say Boch will handle it as he always does.

It was surprising to see Casilla lose his cool a bit. And, yes, I totally am surprised that it doesn't happen more often too. I wonder what set him off this time... I would be shocked if we hear anything more about it.

Hey, did you guys like the music addition to the vlog? I changed video editor and I'm starting to get the hang of it. Did you just not say anything, or not notice? Keep throwing me those bones!
