Eric Seidman of Fan Graphs has an interesting piece on our studly right-hander called Cain and Regression. M.C. sez "check it out." Mr. Seidman also wrote the piece on Sandoval that I pointed y'all to earlier.
The air got let out of the schpilkes balloon a bit last night, eh? It is a good thing that John Lackey is a stud pitcher--it takes a bit of the sting away. Nice to see Pablo continuing to wow us with his bat. I keep pinching myself and saying "he's only 22 years old." Keep on rockin', brother!

Ron, you really wrote that last comment before Panda's two homers? Spooky. Not slams, but still...
It must have been a roller coaster game to watch. Zito's collapse must have been hell to watch. All the homers, Torres' splasher, and the comeback that fell short. Pretty draining. I can't wait for the eyewitness account.
Yes, it really was 7-0, when I wrote that. Turns out we really did need 2 Grand Slams, plus a couple more runs. Yuck.
Anyone irritated by the Giants' plastering 'Vote Giants, Vote Bengie' all over their wallpaper for the last month? With deference to Zo & his assessment of who actually picks the All-Star Teams, a more worthy wallpaper would be 'Attention All 12-Year Olds Who Can Still Write: Write Charlie Manuel An Impassioned Hand-Written Letter - Urge Him to Name Both Lincecum & Cain'.
They'll need his cell number so they can text him.
